I'm honestly really unsure how to start this, as I'm terrible at talking about myself, so I shall start by showing you a few of my own photos :)
I have always been interested in all things creative, and took art and graphics as gcses in which I got an A in both :) and have always loved the idea of Photography.
I started to do Photography at A level, did the first year and got a high B :)
but it didn't really teach me anything, I took it because I wanted to learn loads of techniques and about all the equipment and things, but a a level course at my school didn't offer that, so I looked into this course.
I am truly enjoying every moment I spent at this course, I have learnt so much in the few weeks that I have been here, and to get to do something I absolutely love every day is just perfect :)
I have loved the variety of things that we've covered so far, from street photography to stopmotion animation.
I started to really get into photography while doing art gcse, where we could use photos to support and go along side out pieces of art work in our work books, I had a digital camera but got a fujifilm hs10 over a year ago last summer, and literally fell in love with it, I take it everywhere with me if I can :)
I haven't really picked an area in photography that I like doing the most, I mostly just come up with some random idea in my head, then have to do it because my mind won't stop making the picture in my head :)
In one of the pictures above is my friend Sam, I really enjoyed shooting those pictures, so I do really enjoy working in places with people, I like trying to give my photos a more darker feel to them :)
I normally see something, then get really annoyed at myself if I don't have my camera, because once I get the idea of a photo in my head, I have to do it :')
Recently I helped a new friend of mine do the cover to his new album, Stevie Zesuicde, the old drummer of the uk subs, who is making a come back with his solo album. He initially asked me to go along to the photo shoot to take pictures of the shoot in progress to go in the news paper, but after I took a few shots of him, he decided to use two of my photographs for the album cover and back and the record producer agreed too :) So that's going to be out in a few weeks.
Another of my friends is also using my art in their booklet for their album that they're going to sell :)
Maybe to improve the course, I'd ask for more handouts, as they really help me learn the things, and I like reading back through them after the class so I know I understand them propely.
but all in all, I am really really enjoying the course :)
