I'm honestly really unsure how to start this, as I'm terrible at talking about myself, so I shall start by showing you a few of my own photos :)
I have always been interested in all things creative, and took art and graphics as gcses in which I got an A in both :) and have always loved the idea of Photography.
I started to do Photography at A level, did the first year and got a high B :)
but it didn't really teach me anything, I took it because I wanted to learn loads of techniques and about all the equipment and things, but a a level course at my school didn't offer that, so I looked into this course.
I am truly enjoying every moment I spent at this course, I have learnt so much in the few weeks that I have been here, and to get to do something I absolutely love every day is just perfect :)
I have loved the variety of things that we've covered so far, from street photography to stopmotion animation.
I started to really get into photography while doing art gcse, where we could use photos to support and go along side out pieces of art work in our work books, I had a digital camera but got a fujifilm hs10 over a year ago last summer, and literally fell in love with it, I take it everywhere with me if I can :)
I haven't really picked an area in photography that I like doing the most, I mostly just come up with some random idea in my head, then have to do it because my mind won't stop making the picture in my head :)
In one of the pictures above is my friend Sam, I really enjoyed shooting those pictures, so I do really enjoy working in places with people, I like trying to give my photos a more darker feel to them :)
I normally see something, then get really annoyed at myself if I don't have my camera, because once I get the idea of a photo in my head, I have to do it :')
Recently I helped a new friend of mine do the cover to his new album, Stevie Zesuicde, the old drummer of the uk subs, who is making a come back with his solo album. He initially asked me to go along to the photo shoot to take pictures of the shoot in progress to go in the news paper, but after I took a few shots of him, he decided to use two of my photographs for the album cover and back and the record producer agreed too :) So that's going to be out in a few weeks.
Another of my friends is also using my art in their booklet for their album that they're going to sell :)
Maybe to improve the course, I'd ask for more handouts, as they really help me learn the things, and I like reading back through them after the class so I know I understand them propely.
but all in all, I am really really enjoying the course :)

Technical tings :3

F Numbers: The bigger the number, the smaller the hole. The smaller the number, the larger the hole. Big hole means not of specific focus in the picture, if there is a small hole means focus is on one part of the photo then the rest of the photograph with be blury.

Shutter Speed 15 (Slow) ------------> 1000 (Fast)
Shutter speed affects the picture being taken quite alot, if you're wanting a sharp image, maybe of moving objects you'll use a fast shutter speed, but if you're wanting movement in your photo, for example; painting with light you'll use a slow shutter speed :)

ISO; Depending on how much light there is, a bright location needs a low ISO, where as a dark location needs a high ISO, because it needs to be sensative to the light in the photo

Street Photography..

Street Photography; Type of documentary photography featuring objects in public places.
Here Here we went around the streets of Leeds taking photos of things that caught our eye, interesting buildings and interesting people. Here are a few of my favourite images that I took.

Exposure..

Here we played about with the exposure levels when taking photos, below you'll see a over exposed photo,  a normal exposure photo then an underexposed photograph.
 ~ Over exposed.
     ~ Normal exposure.
~ Under exposed.

Finding Letters. (:

For this project we had to go round town with our cameras and spell out the alphabet with sign letters (:
After getting told to leave the shopping centre xD we finally managed to collect the rest of the letters from outside shops and signs. (:

Shutter Speeds...

Here, we experimented with shutter speeds. The picture above was taken with a very short shutter speed, so nothing in the photo is blurry, but on the photo below we wanted some blur in the photograph. To achieve the effect of the people in focus and the rest of the picture blury, we ran across the photo, but as the ran across the screen you moved the camera with them making the people in focus and the rest of the photograph blury.

Photokit (:

Today we used photo booth to take pictures of a number of different people, trying to take each photo in the same position as the last. We next opened the photos in photoshop and started to select different aspects of the photo, like the eyes. We then copied the selected part, then went to another photo and pasted it onto that one, we scaled the pasted part of the photo to fit in with the other photo. I then used the blend too to match the skin tones of the different pieces together. On the photo above I only changed the eyes on the photograph, but on the photo below I tried to change as many different aspects of the face I could, I think it would have been more effective if i'd of used a different way to match the skin tones better, other than the smudge tool :)
